After a successful first edition in Yaoundé (Cameroon) in May 2018 with the participation of a hundred companies including 45 Tunisian companies, the show aims to achieve even more promising indicators in this second edition particularly in terms of international influence and material and logistical organization. Since the official announcement of the decision to organize this second session during the Togo Day held on the occasion of the last edition of MEDIBAT, efforts to prepare and promote the show have not stopped on the Tunisian side as on the Togolese side. It is expected that some fifty Tunisian building and related services companies will take part in the show, in addition to Togolese exhibitors. A great interest for the participation in this exhibition was also manifested by professionals from the construction sector of other countries such as France, China, Turkey … In addition to the exhibitors, several delegations made up of high-ranking officials, contractors, experts, researchers, urban planners and architects from Togo’s neighboring countries (Ghana, Burkina Faso, Benin and Nigeria) will participate in AFRIBAT.
In addition to the exhibition, the exhibition’s preliminary program includes B2B meetings and a scientific forum whose theme is “Local Building and Specific Techniques”. This forum will be animated in collaboration with the Order of Architects of Tunisia (OAT).
Lastly, since its creation, AFRIBAT, which is in fact only an African version of MEDIBAT, continues to focus the attention of professionals as well as officials and economic structures of several African countries. Indeed, the third session of AFRIBAT already has its host country namely Cameroon while the preparation of this second session is not yet complete. In addition to Cameroon and TOGO, other African countries have expressed interest in hosting the show in the coming years.
